If you visit the offspring in Victoria along the way, give yourself enough time to give the island a once over. The weather is nice (until forest fire season), the older roads off the “highways” (they call them such but have stop lights all over the place) make me miss motorcycling and there are a lot of friendly people around in the smaller communities
Victoria also has a couple of decent cigar shops out of the downtown area with good parking

BTW, I hear the weather is pretty nice in Prescott and Gunsite Academy is just outside of town.
