Robert most excellent article today. Now about Vicky examining your financial statements… are we saying she was a “gold digger” as that would not be politically correct as I do not believe Tammy Fay examined Jim’s financials before they set out on their religious adventure of sucking money from social security recipients. And anyway Joel purchased “The Summit” so he must have deep pockets to begin with.
Now about choice of cities, Charlotte has so many techies it is a minor Austin. Hot Atlanta is not a good place to live unless land in Buckhead ( lots of cigar bars and new money) but it is fighting to get out of Atlanta.
Nashville is up and coming but you need to like county music and it’s getting more expensive. Memphis, no it has been run like a Schiffshow for so long there is no saving it. Likewise Birmingham AL and Jackson Miss although there are nice parts Hoover AL for one the Schiffshow is moving there. Now there is North and South Dakota which I hear is still both nice places if you like the cold, and I mean real cold. Well we will keep thinking but there has to be someplace out there for the Wondering Publisher of The Truth about Everything …
I just had a thought… Oxford Mississippi, home to Ole Miss and William Faulkner, and John Grisham before he got in a huff and moved to Charlottesville because he was tired of living in small city where he was the most famous resident. He moved to Charlottesville because the residents are still waiting on the second coming of Thomas Jefferson and John Grisham was nobody and he liked that. And Oxford is home to Square Books and Nelson’s Department Store where the clerks address you by name. Well it’s a thought.

Can’t take the heat. Thinking temperate climates like Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina and gulp California
There are still friendly people out there, you just have to go to the small towns and not the big cities. This is especially true here in Oregon.
That is the plan!
